"Battleship Potemkin" - Russia 1925

Sergei Eisenstein's 1925 silent film about the mutiny on board the Russian battleship, The Potemkin, and it's bloody aftermath, is a landmark in movie editing and a powerful statement about the struggle against corrupt authority.

  2. I agree Errick R., but it definitely added a great sense of emotion to the movie, which allow the viewers to connect with their own personal negative experiences throughout his or her own lives. An audience is always striving to make connections through media to their own cultural values and beliefs so I feel this movie did exactly what it set out to do: make an audience feel a certain way.
